A few days ago I mentioned our celebration of the decades birthday party that we had in our back yard in Libertyville one year ago. What an amazing gathering of people that were and still are so dear to us. We have always said that we may not have the most money, drive the nicest cars, or live in the biggest house, but we are one of the richest families that I know! Richly blessed with good health, great friends both old and new, a love for one another, amazing family, a great job which brings security, and the ability serve and to share these gifts with others. It got me thinking. A friend of mine in Libertyville, Robin Page, just had a party to celebrate her life and it was not her birthday. She has "chosen life" every day as she has fought stage IV breast cancer and she is winning that fight! Robin is an inspiration to so many and she celebrates life everyday. Shouldn't we celebrate all of the little things? Isn't it the little things that fill us up? Everyday life is crazy and busy. . .everyday life is worth celebrating. Celebrate the craziness. Don't wait until it is your birthday or some other "special" day to celebrate your life or the life of those around you. . .as Robin has said for over a year now, "choose life" and celebrate everyday. Thanks, Robin. You really put things in perspective.
He fills my life with good things.
