A Quick Light Saber Battle

The boulders in our yard are the perfect backdrop for great creative play and imagination.
Connor and Pa had a great battle in the back yard before he left.
They also played a number of chess games together while Pa was here and just really enjoyed their time together.
Bye Pa. . .see you next time!

Shootin' Hoops with Pa

This was our last day with Pa. . . it was so hard to say good-bye!
Pa and Christen played H-O-R-S-E together. Pa gave Christen some great pointers.

Jump shot!

Hammonasset Beach State Park

We took Granny and Pa to Hammonasset to see the beach and the boulders and the Sound. It was a beautiful day.
We were walking on the beach and came across these cute little sand castles.

This picture speaks to me. . . so peaceful.

Our Day Trip To Boston With Granny & Pa

Dad and Larry in front of the Old North Church.

Cute Boston Streets.
Fire House
This picture is supposed to be with the pictures of Paul Revere's House and
I don't know how to move it!

Looking at very, very, very old headstones.

Bunker Hill Monument
The view from the top was worth the climb! 294 stairs later we rested for a while and headed back down. Larry, Connor and I were the only ones crazy enough to go to the top.

Such a New Englandy view!

Inside of the Old North Church.
One if by land, two if by sea. . .
Paul Revere's House
The Freedom Trail was so cool. You followed a trail of red bricks all over town to see all of the sights. The kids were wondering how many bricks it took to make the entire Freedom Trail. We will have to find out.
Boston was so clean and so charming. I can see why people love it there.

Cool architecture. . .
We ate at the Cheers Resturant. . .neat!
The clan. . .part of it anyhow.

A Field Trip To The Whitney Water Center

Christen and her new friend Kelly. . .they are in brownies together, too.

Christen and her friend Jessica who is also a new student at Cox.
What a cool tree!

I got picked! Yesterday I went on a field trip with Christen's 2nd grade class to the Whitney Water Center. They just finished a unit on liquids, gases, and solids so this was a perfect place to visit. They went on a nature walk and made terrariums. . .fun, fun, fun. Of course, I was also the photographer! It was fun to see all the kids in the 2nd grade class and get to know some names and faces.
