Connor and his new friend Tyler. Connor and Tyler are in the same class
and ride the bus together.

Christen and Harriet, a new friend we just met today.
Connor on top of a huge boulder.

Today was beautiful. . .53 and sunny! We were invited to go on a hike with a few other families and decided to go. It was a great hike and Montana even came with us. They all told us to make sure you check everyone for tics when you get home! ICK! Tics are a big deal out here I guess. Anyhow, the hiking trails out here are awesome. If you come for a visit make sure you pack your hiking boots! We took 5 boxes of stuff to the Goodwill store and are making progress in getting settled. More boxes tomorrow. . .
Thought for the day:
Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.

A Sunday Drive to Stoney Creek

On Sunday afternoon we decided that we had enough of being with boxes so we jumped in the car and took a drive. It was a great idea! A neighbor had told us that you can take a boat tour of the Thimble Islands from Stoney Creek. When got there we found out that in the spring you need reservations. . .so we just poked around for a while. We decided to go to this cool place called "Grounded" that is a coffee shop in side of an airplane hanger. . .you can sit in actual airplane seats to drink your coffee or eat your lunch. We just got a couple of coffees to go and headed for the Guilford Beach. Larry and I sat in the car, shared some conversation, drank our coffee, and watched the kids play on the beach. It was great! We kept thinking. . .if only it was 15 degrees warmer!
I guess those days are not too far off. . .bring on the warmer weather!

Connor helped lead the pledge on March 3, 2009 because it was his birthday and his first day at Cox School.
Connors first week was spent taking the CMT's. Instructions and a big welcome awaited him on the board!
All I have done so far today is post entries on the blog. I have not opened one box. . .not one! I also attended a Volunteer Training so that I can go into the school and help out with various things. That will be good. I better get to the boxes now. . .
